Peter Badalament is the founder of Creating Truly Student-Centered Schools. He is a nationally-recognized educator who is uniquely qualified to guide and inspire school communities to create the highest quality learning environments for their students. He provides consulting services to schools and organizations around the country.

Peter served as the principal of three schools over a fifteen year period, most recently at Concord-Carlisle High School in Concord, MA. He was a social studies, English and SPED teacher in Washington, DC, Connecticut and New Jersey. Peter is an Adjunct Faculty member in the University of New England's Masters in Education program.


He holds a Master of Education in Administration, Planning & Social Policy degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Bachelor of Arts in English & Educational Studies from Wesleyan University.


Peter was named an ASCD Emerging Leader. He also serves as the Past President of MASCD, and he represents the Board at the Working Group for Educator Excellence, a multi-stakeholder education policy reform group in Massachusetts.
